Polyurethane Tactile indicator mat VS PVC Tactile indicator mat
Polyurethane is a kind of emerging organic polymer material, known as the “fifth-largest plastic”, which has been widely used in many fields of a national economy because of its excellent performance. The product application domain involves the light industry, the chemical industry, the electron, the textile, the medical treatment, the construction, the building material, the automobile, the national defense, the aerospace, the aviation, and so on.
1. Raw materials PVC and PU are mainly different:
(1). Different temperature tolerance
The highest temperature tolerance for PVC and PU can be up to 65℃ and 90℃ respectively.
(2). Wear resistance is different
PU material is more wear resistance, PVC life is very short.
For the soft and comfortable shoes, sports shoes, travel shoes, and other soles that we wear now are made of polyurethane raw materials, because polyurethane soles have many advantages: low density, soft texture, comfortable and light to wear. Good dimensional stability and long storage life.
Excellent wear resistance and flexure resistance, excellent shock absorption and anti-skid performance, good temperature resistance, good chemical resistance and so on. And some low-end PVC soles are very hard and have a punchy taste, which can easily break after a period of wear.
(3). PU soft, PVC will be relatively hard unless the PVC inside the plasticizer added a lot.
The plasticizer is a kind of additive that makes PVC soft, so soft PVC, the plasticizer is far from meeting environmental protection requirements, Figure 1: PVC board sold by other manufacturers is soft and easy to become upturned feet, this PVC tactile indicator mat is not in line with environmental protection requirements, and the life is very short, easy to change color in the later use process, do not meet the quality requirements.
(4). In terms of price, the price of PU raw materials is more than twice that of PVC, and the price of some special requirements PU raw materials is 2-3 times higher than that of PVC, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.
2. Weight:
Our Tactile indicator mat/TGSIs/TWSIs weighs 428.5g/piece, while the PVC Tactile indicator mat from other manufacturers only weighs 3535 g/piece.
3. Details:
The surface of our Hazard Integrated Tactile indicators -Polyurethane Mat is clean and fresh, with an anti-slip pattern on the surface, with high anti-slip performance, and has been exported to Australia and European countries over 10 years.
While other manufacturers’ PVC Tactile indicator mat surface is very greasy like Figure 3 does not meet the requirements of the international market.
